Uncheck all 2018 season listings and add 2019 season options. Consider adding text to the top of your description that reads “Available August 1, 2019 (or the date when your property will next be available)” so that students seeking housing for the Fall and Winter internship seasons know its availability.
Review the options you have listed for students to reach out to you (i.e. phone and email address). This will expedite the process if your property is still available and you are seeking tenants.
Review your property description. Is it still accurate? Have you made any changes or improvements to the property since you created the listing? If so, add those to your description.
Include distance from Cummins facilities in the area. The #1 question we receive from students is how close by a property is to their work location. By adding the information in your description, you help them to make a decision.Be sure to include driving and/or walking time estimates as well, as some locations will have traffic to consider, as well as the proximity of your property to public transportation.
Consider offering some amenities as part of your monthly rental price. Students love furnished spaces, free WiFi and laundry facilities, to name a few.If you are already offering those amenities, be sure it’s clearly stated in your description.
Update your photos! Make sure your photos are high quality with great lighting to really show off your space. Students will be judging your space based on what they see, so make sure your photos are the best reflection of your space.
Collect and share testimonials. If you have had past renters, reach out to them and ask them to send you a testimonial or review about their experience with you.Properties with testimonials from fellow students will rent FASTER than those without.Need help getting these posted? Feel free to email us for assistance.
